Turkish President Abdullah Gul, visiting the city of Turkmenbashi,
noted the high prospects for developing the Avaza resorts on the
Caspian coast, Trend reports, citing Altyn Asyr TV channel.
The Turkish leader viewed the system of tax benefits for foreign
investors at the resort.
Gul gave a high rating to the project. He observed the projects of the
palace of congresses, hotels, trade and exhibition, cultural and
recreation centers. He was shown projects of an oceanarium, a roofed
skiing complex, a bicycle track and a casino-city.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally presented some
of the projects, such as a new park consisting of a sea fountain, a
coastal complex of fountains and an amphitheater.
The coastal facilities are worth over $1.5 billion. A new airport,
highways, gas turbines for power plants and water treatment facilities
have already been built. There will be an aqua park and a yacht club.
The Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea and the southern part of Kopetdag
are places of treatment and natural health-improvement centers.
Archman, Bayramali, Mollakar, Yilysuv and other natural sources are
comparable with the springs of the world’s best resorts.
The Great Silk Road went through Turkmenistan and the country is rich
in national culture, natural landscapes and unique archeological
monuments.
Kopetdag, Karakum, Amudarya and South-Western Turkmenistan are great
places for eco-tourists.
