Men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics qualifying competitions of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games were completed today in Baku. Artistic gymnastics was included in the program of the Games for the first time at the insistence of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan and President of the Federation of Gymnastics of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva. The two-day competitions were held in the traditional disciplines: balance beam, uneven bars, floor exercise and vault for women, pommel horse, high bar, still rings, parallel bar, floor exercise and vault for men.
The best teams were determined on the results of two days. The Azerbaijani women's team won the gold medal of the Islamic Games, and the men's team won the silver medal.
