The State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the influence of the Achaemenid Empire on the ancient Greek cities of the Black Sea region.

The exhibition "Achaemenid trace in the Northern Black Sea region" includes objects made of gold and silver. The key exhibit is a fragment of a marble stele with the name of King Darius the Great, recently discovered in ancient Phanagoria.

Visitors will be able to see items made in the workshops of the Achaemenid Empire, as well as items made locally, but influenced by Achaemenid traditions.

The exhibition will be open for two months. One can get acquainted with it in the main building of the State Museum of Oriental Art on Nikitsky Boulevard.
