Baku is one of those cities, like Istanbul and Rome, where sometimes it seems that its main inhabitants are cats, who kindly allow people to temporarily live next to them and, of course, feed themselves.
Baku street cats are not afraid of people, and people never hurt them, treating graceful furry creatures, if not with reverence, then certainly with great respect.
