Yesterday a ceremonial reception took place in the Embassy of Serbia. It was organized to support the development of cultural and tourist contacts between Russia and Serbia. Moreover, the 'My Serbia' project was presented. It is directed at strengthening relations between the Serbians who live in Russia, at creating an atmosphere of Russian-Serbian cooperation, and at forminh a foundation for the development of diplomatic, tourism and cultural contacts between the countries.
The world-known Serbian Trumpet Orchestra of Deyan Lazarevic arrived in Moscow especially for guests of the event. In 2011 the orchestra was awarded the first trumpet of the world. It has many times won the Guca Trumpet Festival, which is thought to be the third most important ethno-festival in the world after the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and Oktoberfest in Munich. The popular Folk Ensemble of Branko Krsmanovic also performed at the reception.
Guests of the event tasted national Serbian dishes at the dinner – pies, chevapchichi, razhnichi, famous Serbian cheeses, and so on.
