Orthodox Easter in 2024 is celebrated on Sunday, May 5.

Easter is a religious holiday. It comes after Holy Week, marks the end of Lent and demonstrates faith in the resurrection of Christ. On Easter they traditionally eat Easter cakes, paint eggs and congratulate each other with the words "Christ is Risen". Festive services are held in churches.

On the occasion of Easter, Moscow was decorated with colorful eggs, festive compositions, and flowers. Muscovites and city guests had the opportunity to take bright and beautiful photographs for Easter 2024. The city center was decorated for the holiday, and decorations appeared at metro stations.

The traditional Easter Gift festival takes place in Moscow for a week. The festival sites are organized in different parts of the city, including on Tverskoy Boulevard. The program includes concerts, performances, fairs, master classes. The festival ends on May 5th.
