This week the Russian Jewish Congress held in Moscow its main reception of the year, traditionally dedicated to the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, a new year on the Jewish calendar. This event was the final one in a three-day ‘Autumn Marathon’ of the Russian Jewish Congress, the cycle of community events representing all the main areas of Jewish life.
The theme of the evening was not only the celebration of the year 5776 from the creation of the world. The RJC dedicated this event to Israel's ambassador to Russia, Dorit Golender, who is finishing her 5-year diplomatic service in Moscow and returns to Jerusalem in September.
