Moscow hosted the Moscow Halal Expo 2017 - the largest exhibition of manufacturers of goods and services that meet the requirements of Islam. The representatives of Azerbaijan, Brunei, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the United States, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Syria, Egypt took part in the event.
Russia was represented by 23 subjects, including the North Caucasus region.
