Every year on the last Sunday of July, Russia celebrates Navy Day. Military parades are held at the bases of the Caspian Flotilla, the Pacific, Northern, Black Sea and Baltic fleets. Since 2017, the tradition of holding the main naval parade in St. Petersburg has been restored, but the heaviest and largest ships cannot pass near its shores, so the largest parade takes place nearby - in Kronstadt. In 1996, this port city was no longer closed: entry into it for both Russians and foreigners became free. Now everyone can see not only a parade of warships, but also an air parade here.
