Oriental Bazaar at State Museum of Oriental Art: cheerful exhibition opens in Moscow

The Oriental Bazaar exhibition opened at the State Museum of Oriental Art. It presents works dedicated to the cheerful bazaars of the East, items of oriental trade and archaeological findings. The bazaar is a real museum of the oriental life. The State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow provides an opportunity to feel its free and cheerful spirit.

At the exhibition ”Oriental Bazaar”, there are 150 paintings and graphic works, as well as traditional items for sale and archaeological findings.

At the exhibition, there are various paintings and drawings by artists from Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Russia. There are works by classics of the 20th century (Alexander Volkov, Pavel Benkov, Hovhannes Tatevosyan, Varsham Yeremyan, Vladimir Favorsky), and works by masters of the 2nd half of the 20th century (Vagharshak Elibekyan, Evgeny Kravchenko, Irina Zhdanko, Lali Zambakhidze, Yuri Kirichenko).

The exhibition also presents graphics by Alekper Rzakuliyev, who created the amazing linocuts “Old Baku”.

The oriental bazaar through the eyes of artists is opened until November 19.
