Rasul Gamzatov’s Dagestan exhibition at Museum of Oriental Art

In Moscow, the State Museum of the Oriental Art hosts an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet Avar poet, author, publicist, translator and public figure, People's Poet of Dagestan Rasul Gamzatov.

The exhibition features more than 80 archival photographs of Gamzatov taken in different periods of his life, 40 paintings and graphic works by leading Dagestan artists, objects of arts and crafts, Kaitag textiles, jewelry and traditional women's costumes of the peoples of Dagestan, and photographs where always smiling Rasul Gamzatov is captured surrounded by family, colleagues and friends, politicians and heads of state.
