What is left from burned Crocus City Hall after terrorist attack: flowers, toys, condolences

By Vestnik Kavkaza

People continue to bring flowers to the Crocus City Hall building, destroyed by a fire during the terrorist attack on March 22. A spontaneous memorial arose almost immediately after the tragedy.

Four days have passed since the terrible terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall, which claimed the lives of 139 people. The rescue and search operation is over. But people continue to bring flowers and toys to the spontaneous memorial that has been created near the cordoned off burnt building.

There is a sea of flowers near the building. Flowers also lie on the road barrier fence on the way to the Crocus City Hall. Yesterday, representatives of the Tajik people brought two cars of flowers. They erected a sign with words of deep condolences.

There is still a smell of smoke in the air. The black shell of the burnt concert hall clearly stands out against the pale sky. People around are silent.
