Konstantin Sokolov: "S-300 is a weapon of deterrence"

The Vice-President of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, Konstantin Sokolov, said that the S-300 is a weapon of deterrence, which can prevent a political and military operation against Iran. On April 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that allows the transfer of Russian S-300 rockets to Iran. An Iranian Defense Ministry spokesman said delivery of this complex will contribute to strengthenin cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
