The Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow commemorates the victims of ‘Black January’

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation held an event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the January 20th tragedy. On the night from 19th to 20th of January 1990 the Soviet army committed a criminal action of terrible cruelty in Baku. As a result, this day went down in history as ‘Black January’, which claimed the lives of 132 people (another 612 were injured, 841 were illegally arrested). Representatives of the Russian public, ambassadors of foreign countries laid flowers at the bas-relief of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the plinth with the list of the victims of the tragedy.
