The death of Boris Berezovsky remains an important topic in the Western media.
Today, police inspector Mark Bissell revealed the preliminary
results of the investigation into the death of Russian tycoon.
Bissell said it was not possible to eliminate completely the
involvement of a third party while the investigation continues, but
the coroner confirmed with him that "at the moment there was nothing
to support such suspicious circumstances". "The pathologist has found
nothing to indicate a violent struggle nor anything to suggest the
involvement of a third party," Bissell was quoted by the Guardian.
The officer confirmed an earlier police finding that Mr. Berezovsky’s
death was “consistent with hanging.” He said toxicologists would
continue tests on Mr. Berezovsky’s body, and there would be further
searches at his home surrounded by extensive grounds in Ascot, west of
London, the New York Times writes.
However, "the police assessment on Thursday that the involvement of
someone else could not be ruled out seemed certain to provoke fresh
speculation about the nature of his death," the New York Times writes.
