Armenian churches to offer requiem service for Charles Aznavour
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaCatholicos of All Armenians Karekin II has traveled to Paris to attend the commemoration and funeral ceremonies for the late French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour.
In addition, requiem services for the legendary singer will be offered on October 6 at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the diocesan seat churches of the dioceses of the Armenian Church, News.am reported.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a a decree declaring October 6, the funeral day of Armenia’s National Hero Charles Aznavour day of mourning in Armenia.
Aznavour passed away on October 1 at the age of 94 at one of his homes, in the village of Mouries, north of Marseille.
