Republican party of Armenia cancels party convention

According to him, 250 people will attend the meeting presided by Serzh Sargsyan, the party leader and a former Armenian president.
The party's press secretary said that the party will decided at the meeting whether it will run in the early parliamentary elections or not. If the party decides to race in the election, it will also choose a top figure for the list, Haykakan Zhamanak reported.
The newspaper also reported, referring to its sources, that Vigen Sargsyan, a former defense minister, will be elected as deputy chairman and will top the electoral list.
