UN Security Council condemns terrorist attack in Marrakech
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe UN Security Council has condemned the terrorist attack in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, in which approximately 20 people died, including a foreigner, RIA Novosti cites the UN press-service as saying.
The blast happened at a popular tourist café on the central square of Marrakesh on April 28. Various information sources say that about 14-18 people died, 11 of whom were European citizens. 20 more people were injured. The authorities say that the blast was caused by a suicide-bomber.
The 15 members of the council said that terrorism in any form is a serious problem for international security and peace and expressed hope that it will be coped with using the obligations of the UN Charter.
