IRGC confirms blockade of Strait of Hormuz

The Strait of Hormuz was closed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, specifically for the safety of civilian vessels during Iran's military conflict with the US and Israel.

Major General Ibrahim Jabari, a spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, confirmed in an interview with Lebanese media that the IRGC navy blocked the Strait of Hormuz.

He explained that this was a mandatory, planned action by the IRGC in the event of a US and Israeli attack on Iran.
