Iranian parliament committee approves Strait of Hormuz toll plan

The Iranian parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy has approved a toll plan for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Tasnim reported, citing a committee member.

According to him, the plan also bans ships associated with the United States, Israel and the countries that have imposed unilateral sanctions on Iran from transiting the strait.

Notably, toll payments are expected to be made in Iranian rials.
