Deputy Speaker of Armenian Parliament elected

Hayk Konjoryan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract faction, has been elected Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia.

He was elected by secret ballot, receiving 63 votes in favor and 28 against on Tuesday.

The opposition Armenia faction did not participate in the vote, while the Strong Armenia faction voted against his candidacy.

Konjoryan served as the majority leader in the previous parliament.
