Over 20 thousand Chechens left without electricity
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaApproximately 21 thousand inhabitants of two Chechen regions have been
left without electricity since yesterday, after heavy rains shut down
the Argun power plant, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service
of the regional center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
155.8 thousand people living in the Shalinskiy, Shatoyskiy and
Itum-Kalinskiy regions have lost electricity supply, including six
schools, two administrative buildings, two commandant’s offices and
two police stations. The power is planned to be back on at 15:00
Moscow time.
