Iran to start nuclear fusion research
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIran will start serious nuclear fusion research, the atomic energy organization of Iran (AEOI) director Ali Akbar Salehi said on Monday, reports ITAR-TASS.
He said a special fund has been established to finance long-term scientific research in this sphere. Some 50 specialists have already started work on the project and about $8 million has been allotted.
Salehi also noted that Iran started research work into nuclear fusion about three decades ago, but it now plans to move to a new level.
