Iran to start nuclear fusion research

Iran will start serious nuclear fusion research, the atomic energy organization of Iran (AEOI) director Ali Akbar Salehi said on Monday, reports ITAR-TASS.
  He said a special fund has been established to finance long-term scientific research in this sphere. Some 50 specialists have already started work on the project and about $8 million has been allotted.
Salehi also noted that Iran started research work into nuclear fusion about three decades ago, but it now plans to move to a new level.
