Russia and Kazakhstan to step up inter-parliamentary dialogue to solve problems of the Caspian Sea
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRepresentatives of the Russian State Duma and the Kazakh Parliament agreed today in Aktau on enhancing inter-parliamentary dialogue for cooperation in the Caspian region. According to the participants, systematic inter-parliamentary contacts will play a positive role in strengthening regional cooperation and developing ways to solve existing problems.
In particular, the deputies initiated a permanent Inter-Parliamentary Group, which will involve the member states of the SCO, and agreed to meet regularly as a part of the "Caspian paradigm" in Aktau and other cities on the Caspian Sea, calling on the parliaments of the neighboring countries to join the initiative, RIA Novosti reports.
