Thermal detectors to guard Turkish border

Turkey will use thermal detectors to guard its borders within the framework of the IBMP project. Aselsan has started shipping the detectors, PanARMENIAN reports.187 stationary Falconeye-MW detectors and 30 mobile Eye Mobile detectors have been shipped to Turkish Ground Forces. Falconeye-MW has a range of 20km. Eye Mobile is similar to Falconeye-MW, it weighs about 3kg.The IBMAP project was encouraged by the EU to form a common service of border guards that would take duties of the military, gendarmes and the police. The program is worth 12.3 million euros, 75% of which was granted by the EU.
