Ukrainian Vice PM Boyko to stand for president

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Yuri Boyko filed documents to the Central Electoral Commission yesterday to stand for president, Interfax reports.The other four candidates for president are ex-Governor of the Kharkov Oblast Mikhail Dobkin, ex-Vice Prime Minister Sergey Tigipko, President of the All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress Vadim Rabinovich and ex-Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin. The latter has already registered.March 30 will be the final day to announce readiness to stand for president and April 4 will be the final day to file documents. The elections will be held on May 25.
