Turkish columnists indicted over Charlie Hebdo caricature
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Istanbul prosecutor's office has demanded 1.5 to 4.5 years in jail for Hikmet Cetinkaya and Ceyda Karan for publishing a cartoon depicting Prophet Muhammad, which was released by French magazine Charlie Hebdo in January.
The office prepared the 38-page indictment against the columnists from the Turkish daily Cumhuriyet for "insulting religious values" and "instigating people to hatred and enmity".
