70 illegal immigrants detained in Turkey

70 illegal immigrants have been detained in the northwestern Turkish province of Canakkale, the Turkish news agency Anadolu said.

On May 25th 99 illegal immigrants were detained there: 80 citizens of Syria, and 19 citizens of Afghanistan.Previously, 330 illegal immigrants who were trying to travel to Italy were detained in Turkey’s Mersin province in the country’s south-west. Moreover, 4 Turkish citizens involved in dispatching illegal immigrants to Italy were detained, Trend reports.
