UK company to provide northern Armenia with cheap electricity
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Armenian government has approved an agreement with the British company Grange Power Ltd, which plans to build a steam-gas thermal power station in northern Armenia.
The company is interested in implementing a variety of projects in the energy sector of Armenia.
The Armenian state guarantees the purchasing of electricity from this station for 6.62 drams per 1 kW/h for 20 years from its construction, NEWS.am cited the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yervand Zakharyan, as saying.
Investment in the construction will amount to US$215 million.
