UN notes Georgia's achievements in gender policy
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTbilisi summed up the annual results of implementation of the Georgian National Action Plan on gender equality issues in 2014-2016.
Progress in gender policy in Georgia is obvious, the head of the UN Development Program (UNDP) Shombi Sharp stated.
"We are very pleased that gender equality is a priority issue for the government of Georgia," he noted.
"Now the time has come to turn everything into reality - to include more women in politics and business, to give them equal working conditions and payment," Sharp added, Sputnik Georgia reports.
