Iranian car industry switches to gas
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIran produced 254,814 cars running on petrol and gas from March 21 to November 21, 2010. This exceeds the previous year’s indicator by 95%, Iran News reports.
Iran Khodro produced 150,229 bi-fuel cars (a 161.2% growth), Saipa – 68,240 of such cars (14.4%), Pars Khodro – 36,461 (161.4%).
Iran is equipping Peugeot 206, Peugeot 405, Peugeot Pars, Peugeot Roa, Reno Tonder 90, Samand and some Pride models with the bi-fuel system.
Iran produced 878,304 cars in the first 8 months of this year, which exceeds the previous year’s figures by 19.2%.
