President of Syria Bashar Assad is being cornered and threatened by intervention and his inevitable overthrow. The West headed by France and the US prepare the second attempt to sanction armed intervention into the Arab country after the events in Hula village where more than hundred victims were found, including women and children. There are plenty of doubtful and strange aspects in this incident. But the fact was presented and the propaganda machine got the next portion for brainwashing.

The UN Security Council is dealing with the Syrian issue only for the whole week. All efforts by Russia and partially China to protect the Syrian leader from direct aggression face various provocations. The scenario of presentation protest attitudes to the international society and of justification another blitzkrieg was predicted long time ago.

After in early May rather calm and democratic elections had been held in Syrian, it was understood that Bashar Assad was able to keep order in the country and the majority of population supports him. The plan by Annan also proved that the regime of Assad is viable and able to hold clear negotiations. All these facts contradicted the main idea of the West – overthrowing of Assad’s regime. Today at the next session of the UN SC the US and their allies will strive for a resolution which will allow apply force against the Syrian authorities. Victoria Nuland, the official representative of the State Department of the US, stated about it.

Intervention might be justified by the seventh article of the UN Charter that presupposes possibility to apply force in case of threat to peace, breaking peace and actions of aggression. Plus Syria will be choked by sanctions.

The coalition against Syria is serious. Along with NATO members even Australia is ready to fight in Damascus. France decided to urge Russia to step back and give away Assad.

“One of main arguments of France within the negotiations with Russia on Syria is lack of prospects in support of the regime, according to Paris,” the foreign minister of France believes. Even President Francois Hollande doesn’t exclude possibility of taking a military operation in Syria, but only if the UN SC supports it.

As for events in Hula, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed that the majority of victims were shot on-site and only 20 people were died of fire by tanks and artillery. At the same time, “local residents” witnessed to the Office that the executions were committed by the armed pro-governmental group Shabikha.

Sergey Lavrov insists on carrying out a detailed and objective investigation of circumstances of the events. However, the deputy general secretary of the UN Ladus stated that the mission of UN cannot do it, as it has no medico-legal experts.
