Despite sanctions, international participation in MAKS is wide

On August 25 in Zhukovsky  the XII International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2015 opens. But the 25th is a day for businessmen and journalists, and the 26th is the official opening day with a visit of the salon by the  senior officials of the Russian Federation and foreign official delegations. August 27 is also a business day, but from August 28 to 30 everyone can come to see the demo program in  Zhukovsky.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Andrei Boginsky, says the salon will be attended by 30 countries, about 600 Russian companies, about 150 foreign participants, there will be several national pavilions, there will be a large demonstration program, where the Wings of Tavrida aerobatic team will participate

Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Activity of the state corporation ‘Rostec’, Dmitry Shugaev, said that a total of 14 holdings will take part in the air show, and also certain so-called institutions of direct administration. ‘’They will be the well-known Rosoboronexport, ‘Russian Helicopters’, UEC, Roselectronika, instrument-United Corporation ‘Precision complexes’, ‘Mechanical Engineering’ and many other companies. Pavilions 2, C-2, D-3 will be working, and one of the pavilions, C-3, will be fully occupied by a radio-electronic technology concern, which will present the products of its 48 companies. Thus, ‘Rostec’  lat MAKS-2015, as it was at the previous salon, will be appropriately represented and will occupy an area of about 3800 square meters of closed and open areas."

"Rostec" is going to participate at the first Eurasian Aerospace Congress and use the MAKS siter for negotiations with potential and traditional partners.

Speaking about the impact that the sanctions have had on the work of the salon, Shugaev said that that only at the line of ‘Rostec’, which is the parent organization, around 20 talks are planned between foreign delegations at MAKS. This, in our opinion, is a good indicator. Although, of course, there is a substitution in favor of our Asian partners. I would not call it a substitution, rather, it is the strengthening of our relations which traditionally exist in the area of military-technical cooperation "

In place of the departed companies from Ukraine and Israel came the representatives of China, Turkey, South Africa. The National expositions will be presented by France, the USA, Belarus, Sweden, Belgium, Iran, Czech Republic.

"MAKS-2015 will undoubtedly be a milestone in demonstrating the achievements of the domestic aerospace industry in Russia, including the display of new high-tech solutions, in this sense we are far ahead. ‘Rostec’ on behalf of their organizations and professionals will demonstrate new exhibits to the spectators. There are, above all, the products of UEC and the KRET concern, which I mentioned; moreover, in the framework of MAKS it is planned to organize a ceremony of transferring certain products to the Ministry of Defense as part of the 2015 defense contracts. Interesting products will be presented by ‘Technodynamics’, the so-called electric landing gear wheels, which sounds not very important, but actually helps save seriously during the parking of aircraft, it provides an opportunity not to use special trucks, and so on. That provides a major saving of time and means. Finally, the Instrument-United Corporation will present the aircraft on the aircraft type chassis with the ‘Cherokee' helicopter.This makes it possible to use the drone at any soil on all surfaces. And most importantly, completely new materials are used in the seat cushion, which certainly can be called a super know-how of our industry, "- said Shugaev.
