The US information portal Examiner.com wrote that in the US there is no consensus about the threat posed by Russia. The US Department of Defense clearly sees the Kremlin as a direct threat to the national security of the state, calling for an action to address this kind of enemy. But the White House, the Obama administration does not support such a principled position of the militaries. If this situation will actively develop, according to the plan of the Ministry of Defense the military support of the Eastern European countries bordering Russia will be strengthen that will become an open provocation of the Kremlin.
The Obama administration, in turn, believes that threat ranking is not the most productive way to develop a new strategy in relations with Russia. In addition, the alleged actions against the Kremlin will require significant expenditures of the budget, which the United States can not now afford. White House differ from the Defense Ministry prefers to cooperate with Russia, rather than conflict, knowing that such a strong state assistance is urgently needed in the fight against terrorism, as well as in the situation with Syria.
Despite all the controversy and provocation from the American side, Russia managed to maintain relations with the US on a number of issues, including joint efforts to resolve the Syrian conflict, as well as cooperation in the field of space technology.

Action taken by the Republic of Turkey on cooperation with NATO to combat the threat posed by the "Islamic State" could be dramatic for the future of Turkey. International analysts agree that perhaps Europe will reconsider its attitude towards the Republic and the State for the first time in many years will have a chance to join the EU. This in turn will lead to the greater US influence in the region and weakening the position of Russia, to which the American leadership is making every effort.
The Western media have already started to spread the information about the fact that Turkey embarked on a path of 'democratic changes', which will become the foundation for the European future of Turkey. However, it is hardly possible to talk about democracy in the situation of the military conflict and unresolved situation with the Kurds. Rather, we are talking about the next strategic plan of the United States, which involves intervention in another country. At the moment, Turkey is in a very difficult position: on the one hand there is a threat of Islamic State, which has already proved its seriousness in relation to Turkey. On the other hand, the pressure of America, which offered assistance and later will require a fee. President of the country Erdogan has to make a difficult choice: either keep the state for what it is, or to take the path of the 'Western democracy', thus losing its rather strong geopolitical position in the world
