Margarita Mamun: "My best performance was with ribbon"

Today Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun won silver in the individual all-round artistic gymnastics at the First  European Games in Baku. In the sum of  four exercises – hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon – she got 75.65 points.

"In general, I'm satisfied. There were mistakes, blots. Performing with a hoop, I was a little scared, I couldn't start in a good way. With the ball there was a blot, but not particularly visible. The ribbon was probably the best," Margarita said after her performance.

"I had to get up at 5:50. But I performed in the first stream, finished everything and was supporting Yana. Honestly, it is very hard to look from the stands, usually this can be done pretty rarely. Usually we stand together in the stream. Therefore, you can see only the last stages of the performance. And so, when the entire flow performs from the very beginning, I think it is easier to perform yourself than to support someone else "

Margarita Mamun added that she constantly keeps in touch with Irina Viner, "We are constantly in touch, and she looks at our training online. Yesterday she gave us advice, and today we spoke with her. She is always constantly with us, supports us."
