Middle East Monitor: "Iran had made its choice in favor of Moscow"

The international publication Middle East Monitor wrote about the cooperation between Russia and Iran in Syria. Russia's intervention in the armed conflict in Syria has led to confusion among the leaders of the Western countries, who had been disadvantaged until then, and now they are forced to give up their positions to the Kremlin. It would seem that nothing may further excite America and its coalition partners in Syria. However, the next blow to the United States was the close cooperation between Russia and Iran, with a country that the US leaders saw as a partner in the Middle East, but in the end America has been forced to accept the fact that Iran had made its choice in favor of Moscow.

Despite all the attempts by Washington to influence the political situation in Syria, moving Bashar al-Assad from his position as the president of the country, Iran and Russia have been adamantly defending their positions, explaining to the international community that the further political course of Damascus depends entirely on the will of the people of the state, not on the desires of external forces.

In addition, it seems that Israel, a longtime partner of the United States, is more inclined toward Russia's position, seeking to reduce tensions in the Middle East. Washington was apparently confused in its foreign policy, and now every step taken by the authorities involves increasing bewilderment even among the US partners, not to mention the other political players.

In turn, Russia and Iran have demonstrated the ability to make the right strategic decisions aimed at de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East region. This union of two powerful forces brings visible results in the fight against international terrorism, while the US coalition attempts a declarative fight against everyone at once, but in fact does not do anything in order to attain stability in the Middle East that is strategically important for every region.

The US analytical publication TIME wrote that Iran fulfills all the conditions of the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program. The historic deal on Iran's nuclear program is getting closer to realization after the Iranian enriched uranium, which could potentially be used to produce nuclear weapons, was handed over to Russia on Monday. The American leadership has reacted favorably to such a move on the part of Iran, recalling that such a decision was one of the key issues affecting the abolition of the anti-Iranian sanctions.

For Iran, the lifting of sanctions after a decade of international isolation is of crucial importance. That is why the leadership has been steadily following the paragraphs of the agreement on the nuclear program. At the same time, Iran is increasingly attracting investors from around the world, who are ready to invest in a promising state from an economic point of view.

However, apart from the positive moments of the lifting of the sanctions, there is one aspect that makes the world political and economic leaders fear: with the lifting of sanctions, Iran will be able to export oil at very low prices, which will lead to a change in the balance of power not only in the Middle East region, but also in the world generally. Nevertheless, the overall return of Iran will mark a new stage in the development not only of international economic, but political relations as well.
