The Chinese authorities have found a probable source of coronavirus contamination- wild animals sold at the Wuhan market. Now China has temporarily banned the ‘raw material’ sale. The ban is based on the experts’ statement that snakes and bats could be the source of the disease. Chinese cuisine varies depending on the region, and in some places, there are dishes unusual for Europeans. Sadpanda.cn shares 11 delicacies, the preparation of which will shock susceptible people. 1. Monkey brain

First, a live monkey is served, then its skull is broken and finally, you can regale yourself with its brains while the animal is screaming in pain. Due to incredible cruelty, we are not showing enlarged photos.

2. Feng Gan Ji

Literally,  Feng Gan Ji means ‘wind-dried chicken.’ The chicken’s entrails are taken out while it is still alive, then seasonings are inserted and then the animal is hanged in the wind by the paws to ‘be prepared’. The dish originated in Tibet.

3. Long Xu Feng Zhao

The delicacy consists of the barbels of live carp fish (Long Xu) and a piece of meat between the chicken’s paw (Feng Zhao).

4. Roasted duck claws

The duck is placed on a hot iron plate, it begins to jump because of the temperatures. In the process of such a ‘dance’, the duck dies, and the legs are getting prepared. An unforgettable aroma of paws is achieved due to a soy sauce poured into the duck’s throat.

5. Turtle soup

A live turtle is placed in a pan with water and seasonings and hit slowly. The turtle begins to drink soup to cool itself, thereby soaking the inside with seasonings. As the temperatures rise, the turtle dies in agony.

6. Huo Jiao Lu

Huo Jiao Lu Literally means fresh donkey. The animal is tied, the chef begins to cut its raw meat and serve it at once. By the way, such atrocities are criticized in Mo Yan’s novel “The Republic of Wine”.

7. San Zhi Er

Three squeaks. A gourmet is served with a newborn mouse and a plate of sauce. The mouse squeaks for the first time when it is taken with chopsticks. Then, it squeaks when it is dipped in the sauce. For the third time, the animal squeaks when it is eaten.

8. Zui Xia

Live shrimps in alcohol. Shrimps are placed in a strong liquor so they get drunk, then they are eaten alive.

9. Crispy goose gut

First, a circle is cut with a knife around the animal’s anus (Indians took scalps in such a manner), then an index finger inserted into the goose’s anus, thus, the animal is being rotated and then cooked.

10. Grilled lamb

A parturient sheep is being spit-roasted. The lamb inside is also being roasted. It is considered to be a delicacy to cut the sheep’s stomach and try the cooked mutton.

11. Shark fin soup

Shark fin soup closes the culinary trash-rating.
