NATO enforces weapons and training services as goods

A few days ago representatives of NATO stated at a conference in the UK Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies that the West is being beaten by Russia in the information war. According to Janis Sarts, the Director of NATO Strategic Communications Centre, it is happening despite the fact that the alliance ‘has technologies, and leading marketing centers are situated in our countries.’

Alexey Mukhin, the Director General of the Political Information Center, sees a connection between NATO’s marketing steps and the latest developments in the world as well.

“Today Europe is under the spotlight of the US and NATO countries, because it is a huge market, a global market. Two serious bureaucratic organizations act on its territory – the European Union and NATO. These organizations define the agenda and main directions of development of the European countries in the nearest future. The goal is to bring the European countries to a situation when they become comfortable trade partners and, the most important, partners who obey the US and its allies in NATO. And it goes all out on the goal,” Mukhin believes.

He thinks that “on the one hand, NATO is a bureaucratic organization that demands big money, grows and develops, according to its internal rules, demanding additional resources for its development; but on the other hand, it is a global shop-window for promotion of goods under the NATO brand, i.e. weapons, training services which are imposed on other countries.

Taking it into account makes aggressive statements by NATO generals absolutely clear. They act as marketing managers who direct major trends on markets to a beneficial direction for NATO.”

Mukhin is sure that interests of global transnational companies which “provide global NATO hypermarkets with goods” stand behind the efforts.

According to the expert, in the situation, Russia has to defend its European part, because in a recent period, it’s become clear that Russia is being withdrawn from the European market, despite the WTO rules and norms; and a direct imminent threat to the European part of Russia emerges.

“It’s not an accident that NATO has chosen Russia to be its ‘aggressive’ rival. Doctrinal documents of Russia, an analysis of its behavior show that Russia will never start [a war] first. It gives NATO a free hand, because they can do whatever they want, knowing beforehand that Russia won’t start a war,” Mukhin believes.
