More than five thousand citizens of Russia and Central Asian countries are fighting on the side of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS), almost half of them are Russians. First Deputy Director of the FSB Sergey Smirnov stated that the greatest danger today is recruitment – this is a departure to the territory of hostilities of this group, participation in training, preparation and subsequent return to the territory of our states.
Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences Konstantin Sivkov noted that "the jihadists are fighting against white people, the white race. Why are they then not killing white people, but mainly killing Arabs? That is, in fact, they are not fighting the Americans, the Europeans or anyone else, they are fighting Arabs. The only force that really confronts the ISIS terrorist gangs and Islamic Front is the Syrian army and the Kurdish rebels."
Sivkov thinks that now the countries of the Western world have ripped off their masks and showed who is who: "Turks have begun military operations against Kurdish rebels and inflicted aircraft artillery strikes on a number of towns. And the US and its allies blocked the delivery of humanitarian and military aid to the legitimate Syrian government. That says everything about who is fighting on whose side."
With regard to the bombing attacks of the Western allies on the formations of IS and other Islamic radicals, it makes Sivkov laugh sarcastically: "The whole logic of guerrilla warfare eliminates the possibility of effective strikes on these guerrilla forces by air forces because of the reaction cycle, the so-called reaction time from the moment of discovery until the strike of some mobile object by an aircraft is measured in hours. And during this time the IS formations can travel dozens of kilometers after completing the task. The strikes fall on peaceful towns and villages, on civilians. The losses among the IS terrorists are negligible, while the losses among the citizens of Syria are 220 thousand Arabs who have been killed by ISIS."
