"Russia's Golden Pegasus" went to Baku

Azerbaijan Airlines magazine received the "Russia's Golden Pegasus" award of the International Guild of Professional Photographers of Russian Media in nomination for high professionalism and artistic design of material. Right before the award ceremony at the Azerbaijani embassy, President of this guild, Sergey Lidov, said that ths international award was established in the early 2000s. Decision to award it is made collectively.

"Professionalism in everything is very important for us. Especially when it comes to photos and design. We reviewed several publications, including magazines of Aeroflot and other companies, but we have found some flaws everywhere. But Azerbaijan Airlines magazine made good impression on our team, so it's a well-deserved award," Sergey Lidov said.

Azerbaijani Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu thanked national airline for its high level service and noted that AZAL is actively working with the Russian Federation. "There are 7-8 daily flights between Baku and Moscow, and 9-10 in the summer. Over thousand people move between our capitals every day. Everyone understands that maintaing airline is very expensive, especially at a high level. AZAL President Jahangir Askerov managed to reach the level of the famous Azerbaijani Aeroflot department, which existed in Soviet times,"  he said.

Editor-in-chief of the Azerbaijan Airlines magazine, honored journalist of Azerbaijan, Musa Marcanli, said that this award was a pleasant surprise. "About 400 thousand passengers read each edition. Our magazine is the only on-board publication that shows history, culture and heritage of Azerbaijan in different countries," Musa Marcanli noted.
