'Russian Field' festival starts in Tsaritsyno tomorrow

The Fourth International Festival of Slavic Art 'Russian Field' starts in the Moscow park of Tsaritsyno on July 26. The task of the organizers is to draw public attention to Russian culture by combining folklore and Orthodoxy. This year the festival is dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the death of Duke Vladimir and the celebration of the Baptism of Russia. Representatives of almost all regions of Russia will participate in the work of the festival.

The head of the department of national policy, inter-regional relations and tourism of the city of Moscow, Vladimir Chernikov, said that the festival is really taking its place among the event tourism calendar: "This holiday will be special, because for the first time it will be held at the site in Tsaritsyno, and three times it was held at the Museum-Reserve in Kolomenskoye. Tsaritsyno is a unique place. A very serious, interesting cultural program is being prepared. The peculiarity of the festival 'Russian Field', which combines the features of national art and culture. We assume that the festival will be attended by well-known Russian singers to everyone, very interesting tunes will sound and famous star collectives will participate, such as the Academic Choir Capella of Yurlov, the State Academic Choir of Pyatnitsky, the Kuban Cossack Choir, without fail, of course, the festive choir of the St. Daniel Monastery and the Sretensky Monastery have already confirmed, the collective-soprano of Turetsky, the group Lyube, Yarilov Znoy, Alexander Sklar, Zakhar Prilepin, the group Elephant, the Brothers Karamazov, from Kiev, a Sunday group, and many other collectives."

Tomorrow at 10am they will meet guests at the site of the festival, where a large stage will be built. The program includes performances of art groups throughout the day. "But we invite Muscovites and visitors to come to the park for the highlights after 14:00, because everybody will be interested, but the peak of creative activities will begin approximately from 15:30 till evening, as we say, hits will sound. I am sure that all those who will come to Tsaritsyno will like them. This is a family holiday, and of course we want people to come and relax. We will create all the conditions for that, especially because, again, why, I wonder? An Alley of the Regions: we have 40 tents and various regional products will be provided: this, and what you can try, delicious produce, agricultural goods, and what you can see, enjoy the crafts, the products of these Russian industries. In other words, in fact, it cannot fail to delight. And most importantly, we will all come a little closer to the roots of our history," Vladimir Chernikov says.
