Russian tourists are invited to Serbia

After the collapse of Yugoslavia, the Serbian tourism sector, which has no outlet to the sea, evolved not as fast as, for example, in Montenegro or Croatia. But now Serbia is ahead of many European countries in terms of the development of medical and health facilities – balneological health resorts, mud baths, and sanatoriums of different specializations. Even the ancient Romans built pools with mineral water for the rehabilitation and recovery of legionaries on this land.

It is believed that Serbia possesses the greatest number of mineral lakes in Europe. More than 1000 sources of mineral water are located in its 40 resorts. Most resorts in Serbia have a mild climate and ecologically clean environment, and there are unique medieval monasteries and many other historic sights in close proximity to the resorts. It is said that a vacation in Serbia is not as expensive as other European resorts, and at the same time in contrast to the Russian Caucasian Mineral Waters, the Balkans have European service and modern medicine.

Yesterday the Embassy of Serbia in Moscow hosted a solemn reception dedicated to the development of prospects of the Serbian destination in the Russian tourist market

"There is no need to talk much about Serbia, you should go to Serbia. Serbia is an Orthodox land, a Slavic land, especially friendly to Russians. There is no sea in Serbia, but there are many things that other countries do not have. We have very well-developed mountain tourism, we have very well-developed pilgrim tourism, we have very well-developed resort tourism, hunting tourism. Serbian tourism opportunities are far from being exhausted. We have huge potential. No country in the world welcomes Russians the way Serbia does," the Serbian ambassador to Moscow Slavenko Terzic assured.

At the reception, guests of the evening were able to experience the atmosphere of Serbian hospitality.
