The scientific seminar ‘Russia in the modern architecture of international security: Challenges and Prospects’ was held on September 28-30 in Nizhny Novgorod. It was organized by the Russian Society of Political Scientists along with the N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, Nizhny Novgorod’s Regional Police Station branch and the University Centre of state-building and management training at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.
According to the spokesperson of the RSPS, Maria Pshenichnikova, member of the Presidium of the Russian Society of Political Scientists Vladimir Yakunin and the former head of the Russian President on domestic policy, scientific director of the University Centre of state-building and management training of the MSU Oleg Morozov will speak at the event.
An extended meeting of the Board of RSPS with representatives of the regional offices will be held in the framework of the seminar, as well as a meeting of the heads of the political science faculties and departments of universities in Russia on the approval of a single professional standard for political scientists.
It should be noted that in April this year in Kaliningrad the Russian Society of Political Scientists held an international scientific and public forum ‘70th anniversary of the Great Victory: historical lessons of the past and the political challenges of our time.’ It was attended by researchers from leading educational centers of the former Soviet Union, Austria, Serbia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, India, Iran and other countries. Azerbaijan was represented by a leading researcher of the Department of International Relations and International Law of the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijani Republic, Liliya Mirzazade.
RSPS is a non-governmental organization that brings together the Russian expert community in political science with a view to strengthening the links between political science, education and practice. The organization shall represent the interests of the Russian political science in domestic relations, especially in Eurasia and in the CIS countries, as well as at the international level. A youth department is working to ensure a coordinated youth policy in the framework of the Russian Society of Political Scientists.
