The Fifth International Festival of Arts “At Larisa Gergiev’s”, in which more than 100 concerts of vocal and instrumental music, opera, ballet and drama performances and exhibitions were presented by artists of various genres, has finished its work in the capital of North Ossetia, Vladikavkaz.
The festival was held for the first time five years ago.
French stage director Alain Maratrat, who staged Mozart's “The Magic Flute” in St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Opera Theatre, was a guest of this year's festival. Mariinsky Theatre conductor Michael Tatarnikov conducted an opera and a commemorative meeting was held for Anatoly Briskin, who taught Valery Gergiev, Tugan Sokhiev and Larisa Gergieva.
Larisa Gergieva addressed special thanks to the Chairman of the North Ossetian government Nikolai Alexandrovich Hlyntsov, for his assistance in organising the festival.
