Great interest in classical music in the Caucasus
The Fifth International Art Festival "At Larisa Georgieva's" has closed in Vladikavkaz. During the Festival several vocal and instrumental music concerts were performed as well as opera, ballet and drama performances in which more than 100 artists took part.
Vladikavkaz became a center for performing plays and concerts due to Larisa Georgieva, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, Honorary Professor of the Royal Academy of Music and Drama and Creative Director of the Junior Singers Academy of the Mariinsky Theatre.
The Festival this year has been a success, showing the great interest there is in classical music in the Caucasus, and is becoming a well-known event throughout the world.
