A conference entitled “Business Success” has been held in Stavropol Territory for the first time under the auspices of the all-Russian organization of medium and small entrepreneurship “Russia’s Support”.
During the conference, entrepreneurs had a chance to consult the members of the legislative and executive branches of the Territory, the top management of banks and leasing and insurance companies.
In recent years the Territory has turned out to be a leader in small- and medium-sized business development rates. By 2020 its ratio to Gross Republican Product is set to reach 60%. The latest rating by the National Institute for System Research of Entrepreneurship Problems has given it 5th place among the 85 constituent territories. 1.2 billion roubles have been allocated for business support in the last two years. About a billion is to be allocated in 2011.
Entreupreneurs in the Territory receive support at local level. At present, 33 of 36 municipal units of the Territory are implementing support projects. In the near future, they are set to help create 27 thousand jobs. The Jeleznovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Predgorny and Budennovsky municipal districts are leading in this field.
