Innovative cluster launched in the NCFD

Dagestan establishes innovative cluster on implementation of new
technologies and use of local experts in business practice.


Dozens of organizations are involved. They have innovative
infrastructures and advise on development of business plans and other
financing documents. Their activity is coordinated by the North
Caucasian engineering centre, established a year ago.

The chief-executive of the Dagestani agency on Development of
Innovative Business, Musrutdin Medzhidov, and his partners are working
at establishing a regional infrastructure innovative cluster, for mass
implementation of development of industry. The cluster is to be
presented on May 27th at the All-Russian conference of small- and
medium-sized businesses “Modern mechanisms of the development of
small- and medium-sized businesses in the North Caucasus Federal
District” in Kislovodsk.

Today the North Caucasus engineering center includes 12 organizations
which are interested in the project:


The Innovative Union of Russia presents the interests of the cluster
in governmental structures;

The Fund for Support of Small Business Development in the Scientific
Sphere is financing the project;

The scientific and production corporation “Russian Radio-electronics”
has the ability to implement innovative projects in the sphere of
technologies, from idea to production line;

Dagestan State University is carrying out research in the spheres of
chemistry, biology, information technology and energy;

The Dagestan State Agricultural Academy is holding research in the
sphere of agriculture;

And the technical park Telemechanics in Nalchik, the Agency for
innovative and investment activity of Chechnya and the Trade and
Industry Chamber of North Ossetia will integrate and transfer high
technologies on the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District.
