Karachay-Cherkessia became the first constituent of the North Caucasus Federal District to begin implementation of the programme “Support for youth employment and youth business in Karachay-Cherkessia in 2011-2013.” 4 million rubles will be spent on the project by the republic's authorities this year. The federal budget will credit 13.5 million rubles.
The head of the republic, Rashid Temrezov, spoke about the necessity of the programme: “Today we need to establish a new generation of young businessmen, who will play a more active role in the economy, business and society. Small and medium-sized businesses are developing in Karachay-Cherkessia. However, the complex system for raising a new generation of businessmen hasn’t been formed yet. The project is a pilot for the whole North Caucasus and should be a platform for new business ideas of the young generation.”
Initiators of the programme want to form a favorable environment for self-realization of young people and involve them in business. Young people will have free training courses, participate in workshops by leading businessmen of the republic and receive various forms of support.
According to the head of the department for youth policy, Anzor Yerkenov, young people who want to participate in the project should take five steps to success.
First. To pass a questionnaire and write out a business idea.
Second. To pass a detailed computer test and win in the business-idea contest.
Third. To take an educational course on business planning and project management and make a business plan out of your idea.
Fourth. To win in the business project contest and get real support for the organization of a business.
Fifth. To establish a company and develop the business.
The programme presupposes professional education of young people through providing future development and perfection of the system of professional growth of young specialists. Moreover, young people aged 14-30 will be supported in employment.
