The finance minister of Chechnya, Eli Isayev, told VK that “it is pleasant that such a delegation visited Chechnya, saw its opportunities and visited the republic's facilities. Guests could get acquainted with investment platforms and discuss some projects in the sphere of energy, agriculture, industry and tourism. Today investors are ready to come to Chechnya, but the main point is that our neighbors support the republic. Azerbaijani business can invest in Chechnya, because our guarantee is Ramzan Kadyrov. We have laws on investment guarantees and benefits for foreign investments.”
The minister of economy development and trade of Chechnya Abdullah Magomadov is sure that Chechnya has opportunities for attraction of foreign investment for the republic's development. The main branches of development are oil production, energy, machinery, agriculture, infrastructure, the constructionsector, the social sphere and tourism. The most significant investment projects for the republic are the first line of the hydro-power station cascade on the Argun River, development of the automobile industry and automobile components, construction of a tannery, a shoe factory and light equipment production. “The republic has favorable natural resources and climactic conditions, it has a good geographical situation, a rich mineral base and qualified human resources. This enables the prosperity of business. We hope economic cooperation will lead to implementation of certain projects, which will be beneficial for both Azerbaijan and Chechnya,” Magomedov said.
